Sari Lievonen (MFA, MA, Pedagogic Diploma) is a versatile performer/choreographer and visual artist who has worked as a dance professional in theatre and contemporary dance since 1987 and as a visual artist since 1999.
Sari was first drawn to tango while studying dance in Paris in the late 1980’s. So far her most memorable tango moment is meeting Astor Piazzolla in person while he was performing at the Ikaalinen Tango Festival in Finland in 1990. Sari has been part of the Glasgow tango scene for the past seven years and she is the Creative Director for the Glasgow Tango Festival.
